To set up LoriotPro for enterprise network visuals, you must configure its core SNMP polling engine, auto-discover your corporate infrastructure, and then map those assets into Active Views. LoriotPro relies on a combination of a traditional logical directory tree and customizable graphical dashboards to provide real-time status updates on routers, switches, and servers. 1. Pre-Installation Requirements

Before launching LoriotPro on your Windows monitoring server, prepare the environment to prevent data loss or polling conflicts:

Permissions: Ensure you are logged in as a Local System Administrator.

Security Restrictions: Disable User Account Control (UAC) and disable real-time anti-virus scanning on the LoriotPro installation folder to maximize performance.

Firewall Rules: Open the necessary incoming and outgoing UDP ports 161 (SNMP Get/Set) and UDP port 162 (SNMP Traps).

Software Conflicts: Stop any other native or third-party SNMP manager services running on the machine. 2. Infrastructure Auto-Discovery

You do not need to populate your enterprise network map manually. LoriotPro uses a specialized wizard to find your hardware:

Launch the Discover Wizard: Open LoriotPro and trigger the IP Scanner Tool. Define IP Scopes: Enter your core subnet ranges.

SNMP v1/v2c/v3 Authentication: Input your global enterprise SNMP Read community strings or v3 encryption credentials (DES/AES128).

Execute Scanning: Click Start. LoriotPro will ping the range, extract data via SNMP from your core routers’ ARP and routing tables, and automatically assemble the hosts into its logical organizational tree. 3. Creating the Enterprise Visual Maps (Active Views)

The primary mechanism for custom network graphics in LoriotPro is Active View, which allows you to draw or import maps with dynamic, status-linked objects.

[Logical Directory Tree] ──(Pushes Status)──> [Dynamic Active View Map] │ │ ├─ Host IP (Green = Ok) ├─ Background Image (Campus/World) └─ Host IP (Red = Down) └─ Visual Node (Changes Color) Step A: Initialize the View Map

Right-click on an organizational container or network object in the main LoriotPro directory tree. Select Insert Task -> The Active View option.

Choose a starting layout template from the directory window or build a blank canvas. Step B: Establish a Background Introduction to LoriotPro
